- ½ ounce ginger simple syrup
- ½ ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice, plus more for rim of glass
- 1 ounce ginger beer
- 2 ounces apple cider
- Ginger sugar or crystallized ginger pulsed in food processor, for rim of glass
Preparation
To prepare your martini glass, place ginger sugar on a small flat plate (without ridges works best). Rub a wedge of lemon around the rim of the glass. Dip the rim into the sugar and continue until there is sugar around the entire rim.
Place ginger simple syrup, lemon juice, ginger beer and apple cider in a shaker or large glass filled with ice. Stir quickly to chill, about 20 seconds. Strain into prepared glass.
