- 2 ounces Empire Rye whiskey
- 1 strip orange peel
- ¼ ounce Campari liqueur (or 2–3 dashes Angostura bitters)
- 1 ounce red vermouth
- Ice
Instructions
Pour rye whisky into a highball glass over cracked ice or small cubes.
Twist or squeeze a strip of orange peel over the whiskey to express oils and immediately drop into the glass.
Add Campari liqueur, or Angostura bitters, and red vermouth and stir.
