Orange Macaroons

A simple to make snack with a taste of the tropics. These orange and coconut treats add a nice, bright flavor to a wintry day.

Ingredients

SERVINGS: 3½ dozen Cookies
Orange Macaroons
  • 6 cups moist shredded coconut
  • 3 teaspoons orange zest
  • 4 teaspoons orange juice
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

2. Prepare baking sheet with parchment paper.

3. Use a fork to mix zest into the coconut.

4. Mix orange juice, salt and milk together and pour over coconut and zest. Mix gently with a fork until well distributed.

5. Drop heaping teaspoons of the mixture onto prepared sheet.

6. Tidy up edges of macaroons by gently pushing sides of drops together.

7. Bake 12–15 minutes until golden brown then allow to cool.

8. Package in airtight containers for storing or shipping.
