Ingredients

- 1 organic lemon, reamed, juiced or simply sliced
- 2-inch piece of fresh organic ginger root, thinly sliced, diced, grated or muddled
- 3–4 cups of purified water
- Raw local honey or locally sourced maple syrup to taste (optional)
Preparation
1. Bring water to a boil
2. Turn off heat, add lemon and ginger
3. Let steep for 10 minutes
4. Pour into your favorite mug (straining is optional) and enjoy while it’s warm
Have fun experimenting with these extras:
• A pinch of Himalayan salt
• A dash of freshly ground black or cayenne pepper
• 1⁄8 teaspoon cinnamon or turmeric
• A sprig of fresh herbs (parsley, rosemary, thyme, sage, basil, dandelion)
