Grilled Crostini with Crumbled Gorgonzola Cheese

Crostini are simply toasted bread, but when that bread is grilled, then sprinkled with crumbled Gorgonzola cheese, the crostini become almost magical.

Ingredients

  • 1 baguette
  • ¼ cup EVOO
  • 1 teaspoon blended Italian seasoning
  • 8 ounces crumbled Gorgonzola cheese

Preparation

1. Cut baguette into 3/8-inch-thick rounds.

2. Mix ¼ cup olive oil into a plastic container with sealable lid.

3. Pour mixed seasonings into oil, then blend.

4. Place bread rounds into the container with oil and seasoning.

5. Seal lid and shake vigorously to coat bread rounds evenly.

6. Grill on medium heat until golden brown—turn over for 2–3 minutes.

7. Sprinkle crumbled Gorgonzola on top of bread and close grill lid for 2 minutes.

8. Serve hot off the grill as appetizer or as a side with meal.
